Growing up in a country that has deep musical roots is definitely a subtle advantage if you have inherited the gift of hearing. Musical affinity, however, is much more complex than an ability to hear; rather it is a life style, a way of being and living, much like a physicist lives to understand and create meaning to the laws of this universe by means of the language of mathematics. The life of a musician is to understand and create music by means of musical affinity.
