Midterms are approaching, the waves of new concepts, new material, new content are even encompassing our mental pools. The time has come to immerse ourselves even deeper into the craft, delegate tasks and allow the material to internalize in our brains.
Study Hours
For every three credit hour course, the amount of study time required is multiplied by three to four hours, and these are distributed per week. For three credit hour courses, nine to twelve hours a week of study are necessary. The task of calculating the study hours can seem robotic and impersonal, this is simply part of the academic requirement, and the hours required for study are relevant to a certain extent. The study should become a lifestyle.
Divide and conquer.
Calculate the hours. Divide and conquer. The study plan should start two to three weeks in advance. This is not to impose but the key is that the lengthier the time you have to prepare, the more time you can use to dissect the most important concepts to master.
Study group with yourself
It is crucial that you take time for yourself, as a student. Study groups are great to brainstorm ideas, for information retention, for association of concepts, and in the long run, groups are beneficial. However, studying alone also forces you to develop discipline when you are left to your own devices. Take time to study alone. Create study journals, boards, write about concepts in your own words, make a effort to understand using your own devices.
